Town of Poughkeepsie War Memorial Revitalized
The town laid wreaths and six banners were placed to honor the six branches of the military. To learn more about the memorial and those honored, click here.

Celebrate Pride with these events:
![]() | 🎉 Poughkeepsie Pride Parade and Festival. The parade will line up on Market Street and Main Street and march down Main Street to the family-friendly Festival in Waryas Park. The parade lineup starts at 11 a.m. and steps off at 12 p.m. The Festival is from 12 – 5 p.m. Click here for more info. |
⚾️ Pride Baseball Game at the Hudson Valley Renegades. June 11th from 6:35 - 9:05 PM. A portion of all tickets sold will benefit the Dutchess County Pride Center! Tickets.

🖼️ New Exhibit Opens at Gallery 40. Saturday, June 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Opening Reception. “This Is Us” is a reflection of the work of the two Gallery 40 curators, Paola Bari and Mary Ann Glass, and their invited guests, Leslie Bender and Nansi Lent. With this show, Gallery 40 celebrates these four artists working in different mediums and different interpretations, from realism to abstract, from patterns to whimsical. The exhibition will be on display June 1 – 30. Be sure to attend the opening reception on June 1 from 5 – 7 p.m. More details.
Wakway Talks: Navigating The Underground Railroad in the Hudson Valley. Sunday, June 2nd from 2:30 - 3:30 PM. Presented by Peter Bunten at the East Gate Plaza in Poughkeepsie from 2:30 - 3:30 PM This event is free to attend and open to all. In the 18th and 19th centuries, African American people in the Mid-Hudson Valley faced enslavement, racism, and other barriers to full participation in the social and political milieus of New York. The Hudson River – both actual and as a metaphor – offers a centerpiece for understanding those barriers and the fight for freedom. More details.
