The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Dutchess County's unemployment rate remains low at 3.2%. Read more. Hudson Valley Patterns for Progress reported strong job growth in the Hudson Valley, but housing supply growth continues to lag.
Mother’s Out Front 🌎️
Mothers Out Front in Dutchess County is campaigning to phase out the Dutchess County incinerator. They point out that the incinerator is the county's largest industrial polluter, and Poughkeepsie just so happens to have one of the largest asthma rates in the nation. Mother’s Out Front explains that better alternatives exist and that the county should start planning now. Learn more.

July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at the Walkway Over the Hudson. Space is strictly limited at this event and tickets are required for all attendees. Children 12 and under are free but must reserve a ticket online in advance for admittance. This event sells out every year. Purchase tickets here. |
You can also watch for free from Waryas Park or the base of Main St. The rain date is July 5th.
