IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MOOD GUMMIES

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

Following the Dutchess County Legislature's decision to establish a homeless shelter at 26 Oakley Street in Poughkeepsie, County Executive Sue Serino announced plans to designate the shelter for families only, pending state approval. Mayor Yvonne Flowers supports this approach.

Last week, we asked our readers how they believe homelessness should be addressed in Dutchess County. The results showed that 73% of readers favored scattering smaller shelters throughout the county based on where individuals are from.

We also received many insightful comments from community members, highlighting valid points on both sides of the debate. These perspectives indicate important issues that will need to be addressed, regardless of where the homeless shelter discussion ultimately leads. Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts! Here are some of the comments:

“Having one safe location located conveniently to County Services, bus/train transportation, programs, educational and employment resources, is vital to ensure a healthy transition to bettering one's life situation.”

“Instead of calling them homeless shelters create affordable housing and provide access, including transportation to services that will allow people to eventually be able to work or generate income. ”

“It’s important to feel connected to where you live. Being in a shelter far from home weakens bonds. Very important for children to stay in the same school.”

“A partial explanation of why Poughkeepsie is in its current state is due to the concentration of the county's services. Do a survey of the old, 50s-type motels or properties throughout the county, restore them, and make them available for the homeless. Let's all share instead of Poughkeepsie always shouldering a problem.”

“I think houseless people will feel more comfortable and have a better chance of succeeding if they are closer to existing networks of support and a familiar landscape. ”

Do you agree with County Executive Sue Serino's plan to designate the proposed homeless shelter for families only?
