• City of Poughkeepsie Charter Review Commission: The City of Poughkeepsie is establishing a Charter Review Commission to evaluate and propose updates to the city's governing charter. Residents interested in contributing to the future of city governance can apply by submitting a resume and a letter of interest to [email protected] by January 10, 2025.

• Opportunities for Civic Engagement with the City of Poughkeepsie: The city is seeking volunteers for key roles, including the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) and the Board of Assessment Review (BAR). Applicants must be city residents and should submit their applications by January 10 and January 17, 2025, respectively.

• Town of Poughkeepsie "Name a Snowplow" Contest. The town Highway & Recreation department announced the Town of Poughkeepsie snowplow naming contest results! The winning name is The Snowtorious B.I.G. ❄️
